Do I legally need to use CMHR foam for a sofa in my home?

What is Crib 5 foam?

Crib 5 (or Source 5) refers to a more rigorous fire safety test required for commercial environments. Crib 5 foam is a higher grade of CMHR foam legally required for furniture in hotels, pubs, restaurants and other public spaces.

Is CMHR foam less comfortable than standard foam?

Not at all. The 'High Resilience' (HR) part of the name means the foam has a very open cell structure, giving it excellent elasticity and support. It is highly comfortable and retains its shape exceptionally well over time.

Can CMHR foam be cut to custom sizes?
