Aerofoam Ltd Acoustic Foam & Soundproofing

At Aerofoam Ltd, we offer specialized acoustic foam solutions engineered to control noise and enhance sound quality. Open-cell polyurethane acoustic foam is highly effective at absorbing mid-to-high frequency sound waves, reducing flutter echoes and eliminating excessive reverberation in a room.

Whether you are building a professional recording studio, treating a home cinema, or trying to reduce machinery noise in an industrial setting, our CNC profiled acoustic foams provide an aesthetic and highly functional solution.

Our Acoustic Solutions

  • Profiled Acoustic Panels (Eggbox & Wedge)

Classic convoluted (eggbox) and wedge-cut profiles increase the surface area for maximum sound absorption, ideal for studios and vocal booths.

  • Bass Traps

Thick, dense foam blocks designed to fit into room corners, specifically targeting and absorbing problematic low-frequency sounds.

  • Industrial Noise Enclosures

Fire-retardant, high-density acoustic foams used to line machinery cabinets, HVAC systems and generator enclosures to reduce airborne noise pollution.

  • Class O Fire Rated Acoustic Foam

For commercial and public spaces requiring the highest level of fire safety, we supply acoustic foam that meets stringent building regulations.

  • Flat Acoustic Tiles

A sleeker, minimalist design often preferred for offices, meeting rooms and architectural acoustic treatments.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Does acoustic foam stop noise from leaving a room?

No. Acoustic foam is designed for sound absorption (improving acoustics inside the room by reducing echo and reverberation). To stop sound from leaving or entering a room (sound insulation), you need dense, heavy materials to block the transmission.

What is the difference between wedge and eggbox profile acoustic foam?

Both increase the surface area to absorb sound waves effectively. The choice is largely aesthetic. Wedge foam can be aligned in alternating patterns for a professional studio look, while eggbox (convoluted) foam offers excellent multi-directional absorption.

Do I need to cover my entire wall with acoustic foam?

Usually, no. For most recording studios, home cinemas, or vocal booths, treating 25% to 50% of the wall surface at first reflection points is sufficient to drastically improve audio clarity and reduce flutter echo.

Is your acoustic foam fire-retardant?

Yes. Our standard acoustic foams meet UK fire safety regulations for domestic and commercial use. For high-risk public or industrial environments, we also supply Class O fire-rated acoustic foam.

How do I install acoustic foam panels?

Acoustic foam is very lightweight and can easily be installed using a heavy-duty spray adhesive directly onto the wall, or mounted onto backing boards if you want a non-permanent, removable solution.
